One of indie rock’s biggest bands of the decade, Bloc Party, will be performing in Singapore next year. Composed of Kele Okereke (lead singer), Russell Lissack (lead guitar), Gordon Moakes (bass guitar, synths and glockenspiel), and Matt Tong (drums), the four-man British band will be gracing the stage for the first time in Singapore at Fort Canning Park in March next year.
The band has certainly come a long way since their formation in 2003 when they got their big break by distributing a copy of their ‘She’s Hearing Voices’ demo to industry heavyweights and since releasing their debut album Silent Alarm in February 2005, the band has become one of the most widely known ‘indie rock’ bands of the decade.
After a two-year hiatus, the band reunited to release their fourth album, Four, one of the most highly anticipated albums of 2012, and are back with a world tour to boot.
